Real life "Taken", guy gets his daughter and fixes the glitch

This is excellent.

A guy in Spokane Washington finds out his daughter gets sold into sex trafficking. He thinks that her 19 yo boyfriend sold her for $1k.

They find the boyfriends body in the trunk of a car.

Unfortunately, he did commit murder and has to be charged. I wonder what the least possible sentence for 1st degree murder can be. Can they get the charge reduced? In any case, I suppose he'll have to spend some time in prison. I would hope the other prisoners would treat him like a hero, for obvious reasons.

He will serve time, maybe even life. He confessed to 1st degree murder so no deal to be made. I would not have confessed but even if I were caught I'd consider the trade to be a good one...my life in exchange for my daughters.

Just last night I finished re-reading "I the Jury". To read this news story first thing this morning is quite the coincidence.

A lot of parallels can be drawn here, also, a sobering reminder that a lot of water has passed under the bridge in the 70 odd years since that book was written.

Unfortunately so. So many criminals get off for stupid reason when they committed a crime (killing someone to rob them, etc....), we can all hope that this guy has a good enough lawyer to somehow get this guy off or at least serve no time (but seems pretty unlikely).

I’m not sure it can be called a trade. The daughter was rescued before the father capped the perp. So her life was saved. Then the father exacted revenge:

‘Eisenman told detectives that shortly after he rescued his daughter from forced prostitution in Seattle, he learned Sorensen would be at a specific place in Airway Heights, according to court documents. Eisenman said he confronted Sorensen in November 2020 before tying him up and putting him in his car trunk.

Yes he did exact revenge , no argument. However, if he hadn't saved her it is likely that she would have been lost forever. So even though not a "trade" he did make the sacrifice for his daughter...his freedom for hers.

Yep, I thought the very same. Especially if he has a clean record/no history of violence. Who knows what his daughter may have told her dad about what she endured throughout the fiasco. I suspect many of us would have acted out of sheer rage.

Every time there is one for something like that, Go Fund Me prohibits it. They are far left and against self defense (and would certainly find this worse).
