Dumb question number 17
How does tomorrows sprint race affect todays quali at Brazil. I just can't seem to fathom what that sprint has to do with anything in F1. Thanks to anyone who can simplify all this.

Quali sets grid for Sprint race. Sprint race sets grid for real race.
Plus, top 3 finishers in Sprint race get points.

Qualifying today sets the starting order for tomorrow's sprint race. Finishing order in the sprint sets start order for the main event on Sunday. Also, the first three finishers in sprint are awarded points.
