Gigantic Brass Ones

...plus skill for the drivers and navigators. Tiny cerebellums for many of the spectators.

Wow but one mistake and you're into the trees.

The chant "Po Po Pawww" got old really quickly.

Oh, rally drivers. I thought you were talking about me behind my back again.

And I can’t help but wonder, how many spectators get smacked each year?

Exactly what I thought…the idiots all standing on the side of the road endangering their lives for a view that lasts three tenths of a millisecond! What fun!

Those are Sunday drives compared to the 1980's Group B rallys (called the Killer B's due to the number of drivers and spectators being killed. Unbelievable how close to the course the spectators got.. must of had a deathwish... the group B's were shut down in the mid 80's ...

The cars were run what you brung... no rules, anything goes with as to power, modifications, etc.

I can't even fathom the level of skill it takes to be able to do that...Nonetheless, the size of their hanging brass objects. Absolutely incredible!

Naaah, Stangs never go there.. the population density is way to low , it would just doze off and the Stang just would flatline, probably wouldn't start

That's cool and all, but let's see those drivers driving in NASCAR!

When NASCAR started the truck series, Walker Evans ran and they interviewed him after the first race or so and he commented that he went round and round and never found the jumps.

The first video was big brass ones for sure.
Was it just me that wanted to kick the s##t out of the spectators that are yelling.
And get off my lawn!

The European (essentially most anywhere but USA) spectators would do that standing on the track thing at the Isle of Man MC race if they could.

I think the answer is "If you have to ask, you wouldn't understand."

I know I wouldn't do it, even if drunk. I would clearly lose my man card. Lol.

More than a few of 'em ended up there too. 380HP, 4-wheel drive, a 6-speed sequential 'box, and a 2,618lb min weight makes for some butt-clinching excitement.

This series, along with Grand Prix motorcycle racing, has some of the most hair-raising action in motorsport. France's Sebastien Loeb and Citroen dominated WRC with 9 consecutive championships in the early 2000s when the events were televised here in the US. In-car cameras would show drivers having that deer-in-the-headlight look in their eyes and never even taking the time to blink.
