Hey you Stony Individuals , what's this ?

I've found all sorts of crazy stuff cleaning out rentals over the years . I've cleaned up needles, and baggies before, seen weed related stuff, crack pipes, sex toys, and at one time, we even had an entire closet full of ethnic porn.
I have been trying to sort through my rental house junk and purge . Just found this in the bottom of a bin full of hardware .
I think I remember the cleanout it is from and the guy was a pill popping drinker . He actually just died a few weeks ago, from liver failure, at 60 years old .
Any how, I thought I was pretty hip to this stuff, but have no idea what it is .
Crack pipe? hashpipe ? , something more sinister ?
Its already in the dumpster .

We used the same stands in chemistry class. Just used to keep the tube from not being horizontal.

Every crack pipe I’ve seen has scorching around one end from the lighter. And the plastic cap is odd. Might just be a legitimate bit of lab equipment.

Anyway. Keep your prints off it and throw away.

It is a crack pipe (sometimes used for meth, heroin, and hash/weed).

They sometimes use tubes or straws (even plastic ones) to inhale the drug that they heat on a piece of aluminum foil (don't cook it in the tube)...so the tube is not always heated/burned.

I used to work at a retail auto parts store in the hood.

Folks used to come in fairly frequently and buy

a few of the eye dropper battery electrolyte testers (made from glass)

the cheap $1 pliers and a handful of lighters.

They'd bite the test tubes to make sure they were glass instead of plastic (for anti-freeze) to ensure that they wouldn't melt.

When the manager realized what was going on, he'd group them near the register for convenient shopping.

I saw the title and thought you were talking about the beer that used to be brewed out there.
