I ate a dog biscuit at Thanksgiving dinner.

Idiot.

Let me lay out the scenario. We had to drive 2 hours to join a dinner party. My mom and brother were there. 2 hours turned into 3.5 hours. Tired, irritated, hungry.

We finally get to the house. I see a half eaten container of cheese spread and some prosciutto roll thing. AND A BOWL OF CRACKERS. I pop a cracker into my mouth as the host finds me a glass of wine. My mom watches me eat this thing. Says nothing.

Host hands me a wine and says,”don’t eat those, they are dog biscuits”.

I reply, “they taste kinda like a flavorless ginger cookie”. Everyone laughs at me. My mom said I ate it too fast. It honestly wasn’t bad. The dog did side-eye me strangely.

The turkey was honestly drier. Haha. Commute home was 2.5 hours.

Moral of the story...always wear long pants to a party. :D

No. No. No.

Rookie mistake.

This is what you do (After eating dog biscuits)

1. Drink more wine,
2. crash with the dogs
3. avoid 2+ hr drive home.
4. wake up next morning, go pee in neighbors lawn, eat some more dog food and then hit the road. ;)

First. This is hilarious and makes me happy.

Second. I knew it had to be a vash post.

stevej37 11-26-2021 05:31 PM

Any French Poodles at the party?

(sorry...I can't help it) :D

I think we missed ”that's a dog biscuit” in the Thanksgiving wrecking thread. Vash's life is stranger than fiction.

"My mom watches me eat this thing. Says nothing."

That is a savage move by your mom, LMAO!

Many, many years ago, I was a kid at my grandparents. My aunt and uncle and cousins were there. The grandparents were making a big spread of food for us as was customary. My great grandmother lived across the street from the grandparents. She was sitting at the little table in the kitchen while the younger women did the cooking. My cousin saw great grandmother grab a dog biscuit out of the box and take a bite. My cousin said, "no Granny, don't eat that! It's a dog biscuit!" I think my cousin and I must have been 13 and 14. Great granny just shrugged and finished chewing the biscuit and swallowed.

I thought it was going to end with:

"So, after my second helping of pumpkin pie I went out to the backyard, laid under the shade tree and licked my nuts".

J/K :D

We had a pool party at my house when I was about 19. A few of the neighborhood jocks showed up and were in their normal tough guy ******* mode and raided my parents fridge .
The one knucklehead ate an entire box of "frosty paws " out of my freezer . He did not believe us when we were yelling at him about it. I was like " dude, they are called frosty paws, and have a picture of a puppy eating ice cream on the box "

PetCo used to have these carob based dog safe Oreo cookies. They were delicious. Pre Covid they had a section of treats by the pound in open bins right near the cash registers. Me and the dogs would sort of graze while waiting.
