Molson Golden and other Canadian beer......
I finally got my hands on some Molson Golden.
For some reason we haven't been able to get any in our area for some time. It used to be available 24/7/365 in any package store plus many grocery stores. Got one in the fridge right now for later tonight on the new front deck......

My god. The stories I could tell about Molson Golden...
![]() edit- the condition of that carpet and lack of wear on the rear bumper shows what a good purchase you made. No wonder you love that car!!!! Last edited by LEAKYSEALS951; 12-07-2021 at 03:34 PM.. |

My favorite Canadian beer is 'Moosehead' or Molson Canadian.

Man, haven’t had Canadian beer in forever. Remember it being clean and crisp.
I’ll have to start looking for it again.

A buddy of mine and me decided to drive across Canada (from Detroit to Nova Scotia) when we graduated high school.
We drank Moosehead the entire trip. Best experience of my life.

I support the Molson (I am Labatt guy myself), I am a bigger supporter of the Volvo 850 beer transport vehicle.

Going to college in upstate NY, I drank a lot of beer. Gennesse Cream Ale was the cheap stuff (99 cents a 6 pack) but it was fairly local and so it was fresh. Yes, fresh beer does taste better especially on tap. The 'good stuff' was Molson Golden. Again it was fresh and to me the best beer I've ever had.
That was over 40 years ago and I haven't had one drop of alcohol since Spring 1982. I don't miss drinking but I do miss the taste of a good beer.

^^^ LS
I have many stories of that trip. From getting strip-searched at every border crossing (we were long-hairs in that day) to bears in our campground. It was an experience of a lifetime...1972 The ferry to Nova Scotia taught us how to love every part of the journey.

Whatever happened to Molson Golden? Better than Heineken, IMO. What about Labbat 50? We used to call it skunk brew for its odd aroma.

Our trip from Det. to Nova Scotia showed us how friendly and helpful the Canadian people are.
At every problem and obstacle of the trip...the Canucks helped us out.....Thanks to them! They are truly a great neighbor.

Yes Kokanee and Kokanee gold here, as a Canadian. We’ve got so many good smaller breweries here.

Molson Brador was my go to in the late 80's early 90's when I was stationed in the Lakes. Drank that stuff on liberty from Sault Ste. Marie to Halifax and every canook town on the water in-between. If given the chance our cutter always tied up in Canada so the kids under 21 (myself included) could drink like real men.-WW
ps. This post gave me flashbacks, to drunk skiing at the amazing ski run in Cornwall called Big Ben. It looked like a ski run stuck on top of a sawdust pile at a lumber mill. Basically if you wanted to sum up the USCG in the 80's and 90's with one word it would be debauchery. Last edited by Wetwork; 12-08-2021 at 10:18 AM.. |

The water off the coast of Canada must have been shallow, like 6 feet
