Terrible.

I lived in the area 20 years ago, Obion County TN, looks like at least one death. Knew several people that lived in Mayfield, Kentucky which was hit hard.

Hope all are well and safe...

Woke up and checked the reports, not good at all. Pray for those in the path!

News here in ATL warned of this all week. Looking at the national radar now, the squall line extends from Pittsburgh to Houston with the intensity concentrated in Kentucky and Tennessee. So much more potential for devastation. Warm and muggy here, expecting fuel for intensity when they arrive.

I was driving northwest from the Indiana border to Chicago last night and the rain and wind was intense. Very warm too for this time of year. Lot of lighting and thunder. Was listening to weather on the radio during the drive listening to the tornado warnings in the various counties. Almost pulled over but as I approached the Chicago area, the rain was just a drizzle.

50 mph winds and a days worth of limb clean-up in my yard. The wind is already starting to let up.

Nothing compared to states south of here.

Just tragic .... I've only seen minor tornados destroy relatively small swaths for short "touchdowns" here ... and they are BAD news. I just can't fathom these big ones ....

It missed me by just one mile. Close enough for me to hear it. Amazon had a building collapse in Illinois with people inside of it. TV was saying that it was a mass causality event. Praying for those affected by the storm.

Tornado on the ground for 227 miles is new territory and a new reality for all in the region.

Prayers for all who are affected by the ad weather and Tornados. We are expected to have some significant weather here in these parts in a few hours, hopefully nothing major though. Y'all stay safe out there.

I have family in the area. Thankfully the tornado missed them by a couple miles and they are safe.

Incredible damage. Video seemed to show an abundance of emergency vehicles which is good to see.

Seems to be a 100 year event. I just looked to see the last time something like this happened. The last time was 1925.
