The Lone Ranger's car
Clayton Moor's '59 'Vette. Now owned by his daughter...looking at her now, I can only think that she was a true 20th century fox!

Cool. However the guy showing it is a little over the top.
In 1957, my buddy and I got to pose with his horse at Old Tucson where they were filming. Oh yeah, Tonto's horse was there too. A few years before the car showed up. ![]() |

The '58 has been my dream car (with a white door scoop) but that'd do!

Like the voice in the Honey Badger video, which is hilarious.

'56-60 are my favorites (visually). I'd have a hard time picking between the two and four headlight versions. I might lean more towards the '56-'57 cars, but only just slightly.

Many years ago (why do more and more of my stories start that way), there was a Lone Ranger Restaurant in Reseda.
I remember going there for the grand opening and Clayton Moore was there. All dressed up in the LR regalia. No horse and I don't remember a corvette. But it obviously made an impression on me.

That four speed powerglide probably helps the value quite a bit. It’s a really rare option.

The powerglide was a 2 speed. The Hydramatic was 4 speed.

Sorry, but I couldn't stomach watching the video, so I missed that.

I had the powerglide tranny in my 66 Chevelle. Strong transmission..but terrible for 0-60. The gap between low and high was huge.
