^That's good to hear for future use. I will feel a bit of a dope if I show up with the VDO's, when I could have saved a buck or two, but I just want the dang thing done.

Now I've got to cross my fingers the VDO's get recognized right out the box by the car. The reviews say they do.

Funny thing is, the takeoff set of wheels I got had a slow leak in a tire. It had a loose valve stem. I'm almost betting the car came off the boat from shipping and had a flat and that's why they swapped the wheels. I mounted it on my car, filled it up, and didn't even notice it was 90% flat the next day. For the first time, I was thinking-
"maybe it would be nice to have the tpms system." On my wife's rims too- they had a hairline crack (since replaced) but was holding air. It was nice to know the tpms would give me a bit of a heads up if it started to lose air.

Why do you think the volvo will see the RF TPMS when you say it uses wheel speed? The RF tpms will broadcast but if there is no receiver how can it work?

I retrofitting rims off a volvo 2022 wheel speed sensor tpms onto a volvo 2014 valve stem tpms system. I (hopefully) just need to install the tpms valve stems.
