Just to be clear... Are we talking about $1,000,000,000 or $1,000,000,000,000? ;)

For one thing... I'd put an end to the nasty business of cat juggling!

If I were a billionaire? I wouldn't be talking to you.

I'd have Emory build me a 356 with a 1500hp 9ff engine.

I wouldn't have the first notion. To me, life has been the travel more than the destination or arrival. I'd have to latch on to something like buying into an Indy Car team and letting that schedule be mine. If I saw the need for change or diversion, I'd have the means.

I'd certainly stay at the best hotels and have everything done to my perfection even if it meant bringing my own people.

That's another thing I think money can buy, insulation from people you don't need or want.

IOW, I'm totally selfish.

Of course it does. That's why it would be an effort to avoid them.

While I'm back here in this thread let me add that I don't know about the private jet thing. Fine if you need to be somewhere in an absurd hurry. I kinda like how John Madden chose to travel by bus (or motorhome) seeing the country, going where he had to, not just going.

There are trains and ships and even a motorcycle trip or 2 to take instead of planes, airports and limos. There's a great series on TV called "Hidden Villages" (of the British Isles). There is a distinct definition of a village rather than a town, etc. England has 1000's of them. The U.S. must have 10's of thousands. Do it kinda like "Diners, Drive Ins and Dives." Or "California's Gold" (Huell Howser).

Me, I would buy a moderately priced house in Woodside, CA, the town I grew up in but cannot afford now. It would be about 4000 SF on at least 3 acres, with a pool, and cost about 10 to 20 million. That's moderately priced in Woodside. There's one place for sale right now for 135 million. As a billionaire, I could afford that, but that would be too over the top. I'd also get a nice lakefront house at Tahoe and a Chris Craft wooden boat. That's all the houses I would need. Well, maybe a beach house, too. In Hawaii.

I would buy into a private jet sharing program and travel a lot.

I would have a large barn with a couple dozen vintage cars, mostly Porsches and VWs, but also a few other odds and ends. The barn would include an awesome shop for the cars and also for woodworking.

That's about it.

More stuff more problems.

Home large enough to store my car stuff- and not much more than that, pool and hot tub, very nice decor. Not too large I would want it as a local landmark. Not in flyover country, somewhere on West Coast within proximity of a major airport. Maybe a 2nd home for winter.

Spend some time chasing philanthropic endeavors- maybe volunteer at an Elephant rescue in Asia now and then

Rest of the time live out of a suitcase.

Do and go where I wish. True freedom.

I would fund the TRAVIS org....Where a real rain would come and wash all the scum off the streets. The Queens, fairies, dopers, junkies, sick, venal degenerate animals that come out at night...

Doesn't make any difference if we are talking about Japanese Yen.

Listen, you screwheads! Here is a man who would not take It anymore. A man who stood up against the scum, the Filth. Now I see it clearly.

I thought I remembered that!
