Comet Leonard

How has it been?

We have been getting drought relief here lately, so I have failed to catch a glimpse of it. Supposed to be clear next few days, maybe.

I am sort of hoping for it to have a rock in the middle of it that makes it have more mass than is estimated and it augers into the Sun, may be too late for that to remain possible though.

Too low on the horizon accordinng to what I've read.

Has been constantly o/cast here - the price paid in part for living in largest temperate rain forest on the planet.

Cheers

hahaha

I think that would be considered a tropical rain forest.

stevej37 12-16-2021 01:39 PM

^^^ Yes...but it's a secretive place....and he said it's a rain forest. :)

For you guys east of the Mississippi - the Pacific Northwest - or in my case - the Vancouver BC lower mainland - north, about 230 kms. (140+ miles) from Seattle on I-5

An aside & deviating somewhat from subject matter; we recently made international news for all the wrong reasons. Rains of biblical proportions wiped out major road & rail lines & also caused major property flood damages - estimated to be in the billions. This unusual & rare (the so-called 100 yr. event) atmospheric phenomenon was recently paralleled by the devastation due in part to weather-driven events in Kentucky. Sadly the abnormal weather in Kentucky resulted in a much higher & tragic loss of life.

That 100 year flood jazz is a bunch of crap. They had two of them when I lived in Texas less than 10 years apart.

stevej37 12-16-2021 01:46 PM

^^^ Hawkeye
Ok...gotcha.
I think I saw news about the rains out there....thankful that out here it's just winds and mod rains.

Kinda gives some traction to the "climate change" theory - given the increased frequency of said events - just sayin'
