My TR left me stranded only once when the voltage regulator for the alternator crapped out. I was about a block from home so I walked home, was able to switch out the part and drive on home later that afternoon. [emoji38]

Found my old driving gloves today, the shop manual that came with the car when I bought it, and a couple of Roadster Factory catalogs from 1988. I Also found a picture of the car in our driveway at 2426 Duncan Drive, Niceville, Florida, 1985. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...7f6c5d09d2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...654b432a5a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8547720617.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...71bf8e987d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b581d73f5c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e9ddbba98d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c3932e4e2d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...515a27c49c.jpg

I love the Union Jacks on the quarter panels of the TR6s.

Those were only on the later models [73-76]. But since the 73 is the best year I’ll have to agree with you..

Why is '73 the best year? I would have though emissions regulations would have hurt the '71-'72s as well. Were there any significant changes through the years? My dad had a series of sports cars starting in '67 or so. I remember looking at TR6s with him, probably around 1970-71. I thought they were cool then.

Change from ammeter to voltmeter. No giant fire wire in the middle of the dash.
Gets the better heads. Prettier gauges. No bumper overriders.

The only thing it’s missing are the early seats, which are way more comfortable.

A couple of my TR6’s. The blue one was a 69 and the white one was a 75. I sanded the 75 down to bare metal and had it repainted.

Stay tuned!!! I've been calm as a cucumber for about a week but now, well, I'm really getting anxious and it is only Wednesday. It has been 35 years since I have seen my car in person.
