Has anyone applied to receive their SS benefits online?

I found the answer.... I think ;)

I remember doing mine online....went easy. ssa.gov
The next year, I went online to increase my withheld taxes from it.
I hate paying..would rather break even or overpay a little.

Thanks Steve! I've had an online account for about a year now .... seems like they really have their act together and the process made easy. I'm still a month or so away from being able to apply tho'....

I did in October ... easy process, took about 30-45 days to get the letter.

LOL .... I'm already spending it! I saw the amount I will receive has increased from what it was a year ago.... cha-ching :)

You can apply up to 4 months prior to when you want benefits to start.

I started the process too early .... it asked if I was blind?

I might be stoooopid, but I ain't blind ;). And furthermore .... why the hell do they ask if a person applying online is blind? They're stooopider than I am...

I keed.... I get it.... now.
