Year end charitable donations -who gets your money?
It’s that time of year again when we decide who gets a donation. Do you rely on a charity ranking group to guide you? How do you know if that group isn’t sponsored by charities, though? I was giving to Wounded Warriors, Gary Sinise Foundation, a couple of local food banks and a Down Syndrome org that we rely on. Which groups get your money this time of year?

I think that Foster Kids are perhaps the saddest situation. The statistics on Foster Kids is awful. They are victims with no guilt. One of my preferred areas.

https://www.miracleshappenhere.org/ And I don't claim the donations as a deduction. Personally I have never believed that any donation should be a tax deduction. I am donating money to a place of my choice, only because I want to. I don't think that is something that should be a deduction. My CPA says I am nuts, but that is my choice. |
