me and my pressure cooker.
the other day, I visited my old lady neighbor since she had the pesticide folks over treating for ants (exterior).
she saw me and started crying. I sat her down and asked her "what's up?". she had to get new prescription glasses. in her effort to save money, she left her only good set of frames to get the new lenses fitted. she was not able to see. I told her, when her eyes stop dilating from the drops, things will get better. she said, "she is hungry and cannot see well enough to cook" I got this. I ran home and heated her up some beans and rice. then I asked her what she wanted for dinner. she said, "can you make your chicken noodle soup?" yup. I even had a raw whole hen I was gonna roast. into my pressure cooker. it is so FAST! after 10 minutes to build up pressure, I set my phone to scream at me in 20 minutes. quick pressure release, season, dump in egg noodles, let carcass cool so I can pick the meat off. BOOM. under an hour I had two big to-go containers of soup for the old lady. I even dumped in my leftover cooked barley. I LOVE MY PRESSURE COOKER! as I left I asked, "wait? you can't see? how did you get home from the eye doctor" "oh, I drove home..slowly" true story. effen nuts. I told her to call me next time and my wife and I will go get her and her car.

Happy Hour conditioning. First you go for the cheap booze and friends. Then you go for the cheap booze, cheap food and friends. Then the cheap food and friends. Perfect transition to the blue plate special. Last edited by Shifter; 01-11-2022 at 05:37 PM.. |

You're a kind and generous gent - and you have the wisdom of the pressure!
Up here at 7200' we live and die by our Kuhn thing. Over 20y I've observed some wear items with ours and we already have repair/backup pieces on hand. I'll die before that thing dies, and I'm only 47. Solid stuff there and who doesn't love chicken stock that's done before you're done eating?

Good on you Cliff. I bet the extra container of soup was a big help. Nice thinking on your part. I hope you get pay back when you're elderly.

Cliff, you are a good man. Pressure cookers are awesome, I have three and use them for a variety of things. But there is NOTHING more rewarding than to cook a meal for someone who's mere facial expression is all the reward a cook needs. Very nice of you, very nice.

To me this thread is more an indication of Cliff being awesome with a secondary note that he loves pressure cookers. (but I'm not saying that he's bragging)
Way to go, sir!
