She was the inspiration for many Beach Boy tunes - Brian Wilson thought it was the best song ever recorded. FWIW, Hal Blaine created the bump-da-bump-bump signature beat by accident when the Wrecking Crew was backup on the master. So long Ronnie - have fun in Rock-and-Roll Heaven... Bill K clip from Hall of Fame (Keith Richards is a train-wreck) Nothing about Phil Spector (hmmm,wonder why) who invented the wall of sound. Ronnie's speech is over around 7:40

What a voice she had. Thanks Ronnie, your sound still thrills me and brings me back to when I was a carefree teenager. She really deserved a much better life but her courage overcame all that crap.
