Love the 80s? Karate Kid >> Cobra Kai

Youtube wants to cash in on the Netflix, Hulu bandwagon, I guess.

10 episodes, this is #1

If he wasn't then he definitely is now. They rationalize it but he goes out of his way to screw over Johnny at every turn, over stuff that happened 35 years ago, and even when he's not involved the other LaRussos are.

I just love Johnnys backstory and how they are portraying him.
There are true talented fan geeks behind it and that's why it's working

So is the target demographic men of a certain age... you know, those who actually watched Karate Kid when it first came out?

How can it be anything but that.

Daniel caught a fly with chopsticks.

The End.

Daniel did pretty well for a guy that looked half his age which isn't great when you're 15/16. Elizabeth Shue, the hot girl in Okinawa, the hot redhead.

The audience seems to be skewing younger than that groups (which I'm in). It looks like a lot of kids watched it in the 90s due to heavy rotation on television, so guys in their 20s and 30s have seen it a lot. It was a repeated pop culture reference on How I Met Your Mother, and the audience for that was 20-somethings, remember.

the hot girl in Okinawa,
The Okinawa girl was on JAG several years later. She had a horrible Southern accent.

I watched the first episode. Then I skimmed through the second episode. The blonde dude is a wanker. Daniel is a wanker.

I don't have youtube red, but if I did, it wouldn't matter.

It's great, episode 10, the final in season one is the best.

Watched the first two free episodes and enjoyed them. But not enough to get sucked into YouTube red. Maybe when we cut the cord.

Now on Netflix. I like it. The actor who plays Johnny Lawrence is doing a great job. I'm kinda surprised he didn't have a bigger career after the first movie.

"There's no girls in Cobra Kai for the same reason there's no girls in the Army, it doesn't make sense"

"You don't want me to call you Lip, don't have a weird lip"

"They say I'm on the spectrum" Johnny "I don't know what this is, but get off it"

Who's still watching? A little redundant but a great time killer during these Covid times. The world needs a little more Johnny Lawrence. Team Eagle Fang here.
