FWIW: I often use the big one as a breaker bar. If it's set to above 100 foot pounds I can loosen lug nuts without tripping the "click". (50 to 250 foot pounds range)

Easy-peasy!

Peter...Torture testing? I was too fanatical. Used the 1/2" drive snap-on with an aluminum soft socket to tighten the 911 lug nuts. Used a thin coat of never seeze on the round part of the nuts that fit on the wheels to prevent galling. Removed with the same socket on a breaker bar.

My Snap-On torque wrench was designed to be used up to 250 foot pounds in a professional shop. So as long as I have it set to above 100 foot pounds I'm not going to do anything bad to it by using to break loose lug nuts. (the lug nuts are tightened to 90 foot pounds)
