Arrow 1971 Volvo 145S stick shift (wagon) on eBay located in Pebble Beach, CA - 8 days left

Over all pretty much original condition. Has the twin side draft Zenith Strombergs too!

Has a BIN of $11K but also a "Make Offer" option.

222,495 miles - barely broken in!

Not my color preference either, Rick. But mostly for me - it's not the year 145S I prefer.

The earlier ones ('68, '69, and '70) have a different grille and also fold out back windows.

Here is my dark green on tan '70 that I bought in '77 while working at my first job out of college......

My second car was the 1970 Volvo 145 Wagon, with the older style grille and third row seat...facing backwards which folded into the floor - very cool! B-20-B engine with 2 Stromberg Carbs. was basically indestructible. Got it used in 1976 w/70K miles...fell asleep at the wheel during a photo assignment on July 7th, 1977 - drove off the road...and woke up to see that the ODO registered 77,777 miles - on 7/7/77!!!

How I loved that car...with its life ending in spectacular fashion (at over 250K miles) when it backfired through a carb and caught fire - while parked in a row of other cars...with myself and a buddy pushing the conflagrating hulk into the middle of the road to protect other adjacent cars from catching fire!

Aww...sad ending! But cool story of ownership similar in period to mine.

Mine didn't have the 3rd row seat.

Mine eventually got eaten up by the salt air here and got towed off to the crusher

But it served me well for many years during ownership including several surf trips to Hatteras and back! Also had some very memorable romantic escapades with it. One night on the way home from Daytona on a date, one of the back side windows just fell out! I went back the next day and there it was laying in the grassy median in perfect condition.
