On a whim, I checked it out a few months back. Pretty interesting. Had a long conversation about sentience and free will.

Not sure I understand the commercial potential unless it's to develop 'bots capable of providing basic psychological counseling.

As usual, people who sign up for free stuff are the product, not the customer. They have your IP address, email address, and browser finggerprint and tracking cookies. On mobile, I wouldn't be surprised if the app phones home with all sorts of info.
