I've used these guys for years. You do need to buy in bulk. But the price of a pound of spice from them is the price of an ounce in the grocery store.

Wow their prices are very good.

Just understand that Garlic or Onion powder from them is basically dust/flour. What you normally see in the stores is "Granulated".

Spices are very very good!

We've been using this place for years, but we don't do mail order, we make a list and buy what we need while we're on vacation in Truro Ma.

Lots of good selections, folks. I'll be checking them out!

i probably do not align politically with most members here, but even i found that blitzkrieg of opinion offensive. sorry you had to endure that bud.

I'm lucky. i have a small mom/pops spice shop downtown. they have everything i need, and nothing i don't need.

That's an extremely stupid thing for a business to do.

Used to live near them. Great place to go to in person.

Several of these places look like possibilities. Penzeys has a HUGE variety.

So when I search for paprika, I'm expecting to see at least 3 but probably more like 5-10 different varieties.

hungarian sweet
hungarian
hot
spanish
smoked spanish
hot smoked spanish

When I search for cinnamon, I'm expecting to see a few varieties, Ceylonese, Vietnamese, Indonesian, etc....

My wife gets her spices from www.localspicery.com.

Small batches, they do their own grinding, no GMO, no fillers and so forth. Family owned too.

I buy from The Spice House, always been good.

I believe if you dig back into their blog/history, they were related, maybe family, to pennzy spices. They started The Spice House because of political views pushed to customers by pennzy.

Yep, in business since '57. That's the parents. Their son started Penzeys later.

Another vote for Penzey’s. We are spoiled - their retail locations are less than an hour from us. :)

Yeah, that's the place that I've been shopping at, that I'd dumping.

Rick Lee 01-26-2022 08:53 AM

There's a Penzey's 15 min from my house and it had been on my list to try out until I read about that stupidity a week or two ago. They'll never see a dime from me.
