I bought a thing for my 924S...factory 944 dashes!
After about 20 years of being NLA, Porsche has finally re-introduced the early 924/944 dashes.
I have the first one delivered. About two, maybe three weeks ago, they were still NLA. A few days later, they weren't. I ordered and expedited. Porsche made 38. I am told. It arrived today. I could be singlehandedly responsible for these coming back, plugging in NLA part numbers into the Classic Parts Feedback form on a weekly basis for about two years. Apparently the original dashes cores were made of the pressed paper/fiber material. This is molded PVC/Polyurethane, so it's likely they will last much longer. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1643684503.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1643684625.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1643684758.jpg |

Years ago I replaced my badly cracked 1984 944 dash with a clean dash I found in the junk yard from a 1987 924S
It was a big job but I got it done. 5 years later the new dash was all cracked. Congrats on this new and improved dash. Post pictures of your progress. Let me know opif you need a glove box, I still have one laying around. |
