You have purchase price, shipping, transfer fee and NCIS with local FFL and then sales tax...
it is 25 for the NCIS and 25 to 30 for the logging on the FFl's books. You find willing local FFL Dealer, provide his info to the FFL who you are buying from and he contacts your local FFL. He ships to you local FFL, who complies with all local laws in transferring... Easy Peeezy.. Wt C&R anything over 50 years old gets sent directly to you...unless you live ina Communist state..like CA...all firearms made after 1898 have to be sent to a local FFL...then with your C&R you can go in and pu. Lots of this stuff is a way to collect sale taxes.. It would be a good idear to know what is legal for you to have and not have in your local Socialist states. |
Yes, my last couple of posts were about ammo only. The spoon needs to go through FFL.

Thanks tabs. I know exactly what I can have. However there was some confusion about what “accessories” are ship-able to my county, directly to my house
|
I did this transaction today.
First I called the FFL to ask procedure. He said he is listed on GB and just select him from the list at time of purchase which is exactly what happened. Simple. No emailing or faxing of anything needed. Now I just have to be patient Thanks everyone |

Great news !!

I would never order a weapon on-line, or from a local seller. There are plenty of gun stores out there that have weapons right there where you can check it out and work out a deal. Its too dodgy to do that, and who the hell knows who is watching that transaction. Gun store...

For an old model 12 or something that you want to confirm it’s ok? Sure. But for new? Stores are empty around here for popular stuff As for someone watching? I have nothing to hide |
I would typically agree with Fred on buying local.
However, for my last purchase the manufacturer was out 6 months and my local dealer for them could not even get a spot. It was not something I could get from any other manufacturer (hint, it fires a very large round). I found a dealer that had exactly what I wanted for the same price my local place was quoting me. So for some specialized items it does make sense to buy online from a reputable dealer. |

So I did. Flawless transaction through a local, veteran owned FFL. Gun in hand two weeks later. As far as people looking? Buying a gun in Maryland requires a strip search with the State Police. |

Too late for the OP, but for anyone considering this in the future.
Use a disposable email address to sign up at Gunbroker. I bought one thing almost 11 years ago, and I still get several emails a week from them. They even sent the "We haven't heard from you, respond to continue our emails" email, I didn't respond, guess what, they're still sending them. They must also sell your email to other companies as well, I get a lot of firearm related spam from others as well. |
