You have purchase price, shipping, transfer fee and NCIS with local FFL and then sales tax...

it is 25 for the NCIS and 25 to 30 for the logging on the FFl's books.

You find willing local FFL Dealer, provide his info to the FFL who you are buying from and he contacts your local FFL. He ships to you local FFL, who complies with all local laws in transferring...

Easy Peeezy..

Wt C&R anything over 50 years old gets sent directly to you...unless you live ina Communist state..like CA...all firearms made after 1898 have to be sent to a local FFL...then with your C&R you can go in and pu.

Lots of this stuff is a way to collect sale taxes..

It would be a good idear to know what is legal for you to have and not have in your local Socialist states.

Yes, my last couple of posts were about ammo only. The spoon needs to go through FFL.

Thanks tabs. I know exactly what I can have. However there was some confusion about what “accessories” are ship-able to my county, directly to my house

ramonesfreak 02-07-2022 09:00 AM

I did this transaction today.

First I called the FFL to ask procedure. He said he is listed on GB and just select him from the list at time of purchase which is exactly what happened. Simple. No emailing or faxing of anything needed.

Now I just have to be patient

Thanks everyone

The last time I bought from Bass Pro was pretty painful process. Nice that they use a computer to complete the paperwork but the having multiple employees verify data was very time consuming.

Great news !!

I would never order a weapon on-line, or from a local seller. There are plenty of gun stores out there that have weapons right there where you can check it out and work out a deal. Its too dodgy to do that, and who the hell knows who is watching that transaction. Gun store...

If I could I would. I wanted a specific thing. Searched entire state of New York. Nothing. Especially for a NY-compliant model. Demand far exceeds supply here

For an old model 12 or something that you want to confirm it’s ok? Sure. But for new? Stores are empty around here for popular stuff

As for someone watching? I have nothing to hide

I would typically agree with Fred on buying local.

However, for my last purchase the manufacturer was out 6 months and my local dealer for them could not even get a spot. It was not something I could get from any other manufacturer (hint, it fires a very large round). I found a dealer that had exactly what I wanted for the same price my local place was quoting me.

So for some specialized items it does make sense to buy online from a reputable dealer.

That is exactly what happened to me as well. My son wanted a S&W Model 19 Carry Comp as a graduation present from law school. I ordered one from a local store and waited nearly nine months. The store actually recommend I buy online!

So I did. Flawless transaction through a local, veteran owned FFL. Gun in hand two weeks later.

As far as people looking? Buying a gun in Maryland requires a strip search with the State Police.

Too late for the OP, but for anyone considering this in the future.
Use a disposable email address to sign up at Gunbroker.
I bought one thing almost 11 years ago, and I still get several emails a week from them. They even sent the "We haven't heard from you, respond to continue our emails" email, I didn't respond, guess what, they're still sending them. They must also sell your email to other companies as well, I get a lot of firearm related spam from others as well.

I wish this was an option every time. There are several stores locally and a couple are very difficult to work with. I'm not sure if it is because I'm a woman or if they are just jerks but on several occasions, I have looked for something specific and I get nothing but jokes from sales people about me not possibly knowing what I want. I have a pretty good relationship with a local range and they help me with transfers if I buy online.

I dont know anything about that, bubba, but down her in the dirty south, a man can walk into a store and get what he needs. I dont trust ordering things any more..Good luck Bubba!

CA would also require anal penetration .

I don't think it's because you're female for some of them ;). Had to return an obviously defective Ruger LC9S semi to Gander Mtn a few years back .... counter dude was an azz ... "we don't take returns" and insinuated I didn't know what I was talking about (I knew better, and just bit my tongue). It was funny to watch him break the gun down and and work it a bit and then realize he didn't know everything he once thought he did. It was replaced with another.... just like a Henry Golden Boy was ... very same store, a decade earlier.

That's my preferred way. My FFL is a veteran builds custom precision rifles, he's at all the shows. I find what I like to have the seller walk it over to him and pick it up when we get home.

I looked on eBay at magazines and don’t see sellers with any shipping restrictions. I wonder if eBay would end the transaction once I enter my address. Interesting

We live in commie states. Many sellers won't sell to us. Is the mag compliant?
