It was upper 30's here today and sunny...not bad at all.
Above our average for this time of year.

Shut yer yapper! It's still cold and there's still snow on the ground here. Nobody likes a showoff Vash!

truth be told friend..i want much more winter. i am not ready for spring. :)

65º here today and 70-72º for the next 3 days.

Of course, last year, we set records for cold weather in mid-Feb. So I'm not going to tempt fate.

Vash, tell you what: bring whatever vehicle you want to Nova Scotia (or Prince Edward Island, I'm sure Yellowperil will share) and we'll fill the thing with all the snow you want.
We had a cold rain today which dropped the drifts a bit, but some drifts are up to the top wire of the fence and the horses were able to walk on top of it all.

Best
Les

Here in Ohio, the average daily high is 35* which we haven't seen since late January....mostly teens, and single digits overnight, and if we are lucky, will go up and touch 26* about 4 pm.

Still the windchills are single digits or -0

So do I. It was nice driving top-down in the 70° sunshine today, but I'd trade it in a minute for some much-needed rain. Looks like we're in for another dry year ahead :(

flatbutt 02-08-2022 03:24 PM

I've still got 5-6 inches of ice on the pond.

Oh whatever! Next you'll be posting pics of your tomatoes growing while I'm wondering when the frost will be out of the ground. :D

Vash, if you go, swing by and pick me up. We can visit Oak Island! Maybe even get to meet metal detection expert Gary Drayton.

I’m not sure if Santa Rosa ever has what I would call “winter.”

smadsen 02-08-2022 07:13 PM

We had about 6" of rain in the last two weeks of December. It's been springtime since December 29. Roses blooming, trees greening out.

It's supposed to be 80 in Santa Rosa tomorrow. 74 in Half Moon Bay. Looks like a good day for the kayak. I'll be leaving work a little early.

it's not cold here either, bit of wind/rain storms, but not too cold and lot's of sunny days in between.
I'm hoping for a spring like 2020, that would be a nice thing since 2021 we never had spring or summer it stayed miserable and wet the entire year.

Geronimo '74 02-09-2022 12:33 AM

At least the groundwater levels are up ;)

Fast Freddy 944 02-09-2022 04:52 AM

Winter ain't over in the dirty south, end of march is when those extreme cold dips end. This week 60's and 70's and after that back down to the cool 40's. If one has alergys, spring is a nightmare.
