9x7 AOS - replacements - best

Folks, if (haven't confirmed yet, but fingers crossed, I guess) that I have an issue with my AOS leaking from the bellows. But, just in case I do, is there a preferred option for a street driven car that's driven hard?

I may have put 15-20 miles on it at 95-105 earlier today (after which I noticed the oil). I feel like I've heard that folks tend to notice an issue after hard and/or track driving.

I think the OEM standard AOS is reasonably priced (well, who knows it today's environment).

I think there are some aftermarket models.

I even think there's a motorsport model which I assume is more expensive, but also better/more robust.

The motorsport one isn't really needed on the street I would however buy the original at the dealer
the aftermarket ones are not worth installing It is not a pleasant task
That being said I doubt that's your leak. Get thyself under there and look

Even the motorsport people don't use the Motorsport AOS. Apparently those who have found they fail just as often but cost 3x to replace. Just get a stock/standard one. They are comparatively easy to replace on the Cayman/Boxster compared to a 911.

The guy on Rennlist who made the UAOS (Ultimate AOS) solution is awesome but as far as I know it's only currently for the 996/997 not the Cayman/Boxster.

I had the UAOS installed on my C4S before I sold it but it was a 996. I thought the 987/997 were easier to access/service? For a street driven car stick with stock.

Yes, it’s easy on the later models, I can do mine in half hour. Pelican has a Porsche one with a warranty that I had to use. 2 years and 10000 miles I think. They were very quick and helpful sending my replacement out for free
