Lightbulb Rock Concert ticket stubs

I know I'm not the only one here who saved some of their ticket stubs, flyers, etc.

Digging into some of my memorabilia last night found a small collection. I have another batch somewhere else from latter years/era. These were all during my college era at U.F.

I need some help on one of these...can anyone hazard a guess as to who the band was along with Cactus?

Ends with "MATAM", I guess......

Thanks!

Well FWIW I'm glad I clicked on that link you provided Java because (although I didn't mention it) for many years I couldn't remember who opened for that concert - so thank you for that, my brother!

Those prices are amazing, compared to today. I could literally go to all 17 Grateful Dead Concerts when they played them at the Warfield in SF during a 3 week period, and the cost wasn't even a slight concern. Sleep was the main concern.

Concerts today are hundreds of dollars for each show. It used to be, bands did shows for cheap to sell records. Now, with no record sales anymore, they have to make their money on concerts. It sucks, but the again, I can just say "Alexa, play (fill in any artist name you can think of)" and bam!

Yeah Charlie. I still remember in-state tuition at U.F. was $190 per quarter. Not per hour - per quarter! I attended from '72 to '77 and finally got my degree. Took an extra year to figure out I liked plants and wanted to pursue a career as a horticulturist.

Talk about "the good old days"......

I have a bunch in a framed collage and a drawer full of those I got after I made the collage. Best one is from a Rush concert in Cologne, Germany. The ticket looks like an album cover. So cool. I have a front row one for Van Halen where I was the only male in the front row and caught a pick from Eddie.

I park all my ticket stubs in that artists CD jewel box, for instance:

Great idea!

I been thinking of selling off all my CDs one day. I'll keep my vinyl though.

I got a bunch. The pick? I asked the horn player to grab a stray BB King pick one time. It was back on the stage. He gave me a hateful look. But I got the pick!

Yeah, he collapsed on stage the other night. Doing well apparently after recovering.

Yes.

Last night after looking at some concert archive sites, I sent the pic of my MTB ticket stub to one that didn't have that concert date listed in their database. I got a nice reply back this morning from the site owner thanking me and saying he will add it and letting me know the opening act was John Hammond, so that was cool.

I was 19 years old at that concert.
