I'm looking for a doctor in the Central Velley (CA) area...

Sacto, Modesto, Lodi, etc are. I need someone who has some connection to, or knows how to deal with, the Kaiser hospital system. It involves a family member going though some end of life/pain management issues, and not getting the help they need.

I'm hoping for some help with some exotic stuff, like splanchnicectomy...
PM me, please thanks bye.

Thanks to those who helped, unfortunately my MIL passed today. At least it was calm. My poor wife was headed out there anyways (to check up, we didn't expect this so soon), and delayed flights prevented her from being at the house when it happened, so I'm sure she's extra upset.

OK, I'll give a quick eulogy, Porsche content included.
Circa 1960s, Europe
Sue's dad is Air Force, post Korean War, and stationed in Germany. Spends his days Cruising around Europe in a bathtub 356 with a hot cam. Meets a young lass on the German border, chats her up, yadda yadda yadda...when his military time is up, he wants her to come back to the US with him.
Her momma refuses! See, her (my MIL's) dad was ALSO a young fashionable American serviceman in Europe, who met a young German lass, chatted her up, yadda yadda yadda...then went back home and left her to raise a daughter alone! Momma said "You come back in a year, and if you do, I'll know your serious".

So, Sue's dad dutifully went back on his own a year later, and was allowed to bring his German lass home with him.

Sue's mom was the 6th (maybe 7th?) generation born in Trier, an ancient town on the German/ Luxembourg border.

She also did, finally get in touch with her birth father's family recently, they're not so far from us in Texas! Turns out his whole life he regretted leaving a daughter there, and had told his current family about it, so when she contacted them, it was quite pleasant, not weird like it could have been...

sorry to hear about your MIL Mike. At least she's no longer in pain. Prayers to you and the Wife from me and my German Bride.

Fantastic story, Mike. Thanks for sharing what I would consider a fairy tale - romantically speaking.

I'm so sorry about your family's loss.

Wishing you and yours much peace at this time.

Regards,
Baz

Sometimes faster is a better way to go. A lot of the time really.
