getting ready for spring...

Picked this up for dandelions, clover, and other broadleafs.

Will pump up to 70 gals on a single battery charge. I already have three of their batteries and most of their tools. (all have been great)
The wand, valve, and spray head are all brass and stainless....no plastic.

That looks like a good, convenient sprayer. It only has a 1 gal. capacity though. I have a 4 gal. Solo backpack sprayer for my place, which I use every year. I'm on my second. The first one lasted for about ten years. I use mine to spray some of the weeds on my 2 1/2 acre place & have gone through four or five sprayers full lately.

^^^ I have an acre of lawn...but I needed something for spot spraying.
I have a tow behind sprayer, but I haven't used it in years because of only a few new weeds each year.

And I hate lugging a 2 gal or more around the yard for just a few spots.
It'll be just for touch-up spraying.

Nice! To me the metal parts is a big deal. I want all stainless and/or brass as well. I had one years ago that I got at HD. I sold it when we downsized. When we got our house, I figured "I'll just go buy another of the models like we used to have." Then I found out that the models with metal parts are like hen's teeth.

The white cap in the pic doubles as a tank cap and a measuring cap for the herbicide.
There is also a shoulder strap for making it easier to tote around.
The battery clips in from the back. (in the red housing)

Might be a while before it's used. The weather here right now....

I would be interested in a "real world" report once you use it.

I have tow behind sprayers, five gallon pumpers, the works.

I see a niche for this on the farm, I really do.

BTW, why would someone rate a thread about one gallon sprayers?

Completely ponderous

^^^ I will report back when I use it.
I also have a tow behind...not needed anymore. (it surely did it's job in the beginning)

I use a backpack sprayer for my yard just before spring (it's about that time, now...) to keep the weeds away. I've seen a battery one and thought maybe it's time to be a little lazy :D

A little one like yours would be good for the monsoon "spot kills."

The best part of spring is when you feel the heat of the sun for the first time since December.
It's truly invigorating.

gacook 03-11-2022 02:18 PM

It's cold outside today...only around 65 degrees :p

^^^ Ha Ha
Report back in July.

Feels good here at 60 in the shade and sunny. Spring will bring lots of sunshine and mild temps to get out & get things done.

stevej37 03-11-2022 02:42 PM

I love seeing how fast things sprout and grow with the spring sun and heat.

Spring doesnt start till monday. One last storm coming tomorrow. I pick weeds the old fashion way. Those chemicals are bad news

As long as you follow the dilution directions correctly..herbicides are safe and very effective.

Plenty of non toxic weed solutions. We use both depending on the targeted application.

stevej37 03-11-2022 04:36 PM

When the dandelions start opening...it's time to start spraying.

You can make weed killer with salt, vinegar and water BUT it will kill grass too.
