Where is this 1 of 51 RSR's now?

Did you see this post on our FB page a few weeks ago? This 1 of 51 RSR's produced was built in 1993 and unused since. Intended in its life to be made for racing applications, when it was delivered in '93 it disappeared into a private collection. Does anyone know where it ended up when it sold in 2017?

Check out the gallery and details here.

Flashback to 2017

You don't see a 911 like this every day. Only 10 km on the odometer - one of 51 RSR produced - still covered with the factory applied Cosmoline coating - built in 1993 and unused since - 350 hp with five speed gearbox - one of two with a fully trimmed interior - purple rims with gold brake calipers. A specimen whose condition could not be more original. Delivered in 1993, the 911 disappeared into a private collection and still had the factory Cosmoline coating at the auction. The RSR version of the Porsche 911 (964) was actually intended for the race track, which resulted in a weight reduction to 1,120 kilos. The 911 is equipped with a 3.8-liter M64/04 RSR-specific engine - the brake system comes from the 911 Turbo. The RSR were very successful on many racetracks around the world. These include wins at the 24 Hours of Spa, the 1000KM of Suzuka and the 24 Hours of Interlagos. Even before

The auction made it clear that anyone who comes to Lake Como with a real interest in buying the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.8 should also have plenty of money in their bank account. The hammer fell on May 27, 2017 at 2.25 million US dollars (2,016,000 euros) on the Villa Erba site. Who bought the 911 remained a secret.

What a shame - Those things were meant to be driven and enjoyed. But that interior - ugh.
