Well I couldnt get the price picture to upload.

I have seen the trend in foreign countries looking to get more money from the gringos.
Mexico used to be 10 cents on the dollar sort of thing. I just drove to Loreto which is where I had moored my boat many moons ago when the Marina first opened.
Somewhat shocked the rate now for up to 100 ft is $2.50per ft per day. So if we going to pull into the marina for a day to take a break and dinner its going to be for my boat 40 ft @ 2.50 thats $100 not counting dinner and drinks.
If I stay a month its going to be $21.00 per ft per month so $840.00. Not going to be going there any more..

Price check on isle 3

So at La Brisa Pizza and Bar the steak was $29.00 and the marg was $14.00

There was a notice in the office that rates went up today, and if you hadn't signed the new contract, old price were no longer good. I didn't check the new prices, although I meant to.
And this one is definitely more expensive than that.

I'm still pissed that they didn't rebuild the marina at my club, I was going to buy a slip, boat or no boat because they would only go up in value. Sadly the investors screwed the whole thing up, including the condos.

A lot of these folks want to liveaboard year round.

I only want to do it November through May-ish. THe rest of the time I'd like to be up in the Mtns....

So... you know.. TWICE as expensive. :D

I like this place. Its high enough latitude to be out of hurricane path.
You talk of florida. Mexico is super nice and wonderful people

I don't think any boat that you can put in and out easily with a trailer would be very comfortable to live on for 6 months.

Annual haul out and storage has to be factored in. I see a number of folks that use locations in South America probably to keep costs down.

I’ve seen haul out to blocking rates from $350 to $1200 for a large cat. (And then there’s storage after of course)

Gone with the Wynns reminds me of a couple yuppies that were in the tech industry that
looked at the potential for living off of having a camera in front of them to make the needed money for expensive wine and cheese. Thing is about the Wynns they have been on a milk run and now are out of down wind sailing real estate. from New Zealand to get anywhere the foulies are going to have to come out.. Its upwind time

Well I called it . The Wynns are selling the boat.

Interesting.

Another channel I watch "Sailing Nahoa" just launched from Thailand to complete their navigation. Thailand to Maldives, Sri Lanka around the southern tip of Africa.

Looks like ZERO wind out of Thailand/Indian Ocean.
