Vintage Radio Shack RC Boat
I got this boat for my nephew for Christmas back in the mid 90s, can't remember what year. I remember when I bought it, I also bought the battery for it as well as the little 9v battery for the controller bit I didn't buy a charger as I figured my Sister and Brother-in-law could provide that. Well, they never did get a charger and the boat was played with only one time. I remember my Brother-in-law telling me that the battery had a little charge on it and they played with the boat once and then it was never played with again.
When my Brother-in-law passed away recently and my Nephew and I were going through things, we found the boat on a shelf in a closet. There, it was in it's box all these years!!! My Nephew said I could have it so now it has come full circle. So, here is a vintage Radio Shack Stinger RC Boat, with Radio Shack battery pack and original Radio Shack 9v battery. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

How cool is that! Are batteries available to use it?

I'm going to try and charge the battery pack, it has never been charged, and see if it will work. I am really surprised that the 9volt wasn't all corroded after all these years, it was still in the controller when I first unboxed it. My Nephew was about 6 or 7 years old, I think, when I got it for him, he is 30 now. It's been sitting for a long time, that's for sure.
I'm pretty sure I could still get a new battery pack for it if that one doesn't take a charge. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

Oh yeah, I Love all the graphics and wording on the boat, pretty cool stuff. This same boat was sold by NIKKO as the Barracuda by the way.

Great Flashback to my youth, going to Radio Shack looking at all the radios, test equipment, and toys.
I bet you can find replacement batteries for the boat pretty easily.

The compatible Radio Shack chargers are marked on the battery pack.

I have this charger. I bought it several years ago at Hobby Town USA when I started getting into RC boats, I think it may be up to the task. Lol.
