Johnny Depp's defamation trial against Amber Heard.

Been in the news lately.

From Wiki:

From 2015 to 2017, Depp was married to actress Amber Heard. Their divorce drew media attention as Heard alleged that Depp had been abusive throughout their relationship, Depp refuting in 2018 that Heard had abused him, before unsuccessfully suing the publishers of British tabloid The Sun for English defamation. As of 2022, Depp is similarly suing Heard for defamation in Virginia after she wrote an op-ed saying she was a public victim of domestic violence, describing himself as a victim of cancel culture.

I don't know a lot about it except watching Depp's testimony today - he sounded a bit shaky.

My take was he is suing her for tanking his career, but it seems self inflicted from what I saw.

I’ve never seen a witness at a trial be allowed to drone and ramble on at length like Depp is doing. I get that he’s a celebrity, but it’s beyond excessive.

It looks like she's gained a little weight, but I don't think that's unusual for actors. There are plenty of tabloid photos of actors not looking their best while on vacation or something. But when they get a role, they seem to lose weight and do what they need to do to look their best. She's 35. I suspect if she was about to be in a movie where they wanted her to look hot, she'd probably look pretty hot.

I feel like many of the best actors are probably a little nuts. I don't know if it's due to fame that makes them nuts or that the nuts is always there and part of what makes them good actors. A lot of them play crazy a little too well.

Apparently she operated in "crazy byiotch" mode constantly. JD would express his thoughts of leaving and she would shift into "soft hearted companion/caregiver" mode immediately and that would last for awhile until the cycle started over again.

Sounds a bit "Bipolar" to me...

I had it on when they were introducing the photo of his cheek. Seriously, that guy just likes to hear himself talk. He was asked what the photo was of. It took him 5 minutes to say 'a photo of my cheek'.

I don't know about her, although this whole business would point to her being pretty crazy. Depp does great work. He seems super creative and talented and has made some amazing movies. I think he's probably very, very crazy on his own.

Him and her together must have been like Alice in Wonderland-like crazy.
