I first thought I needed to go and buy turkey loads.
Headed out this weekend to “guide” a friend to his first wild bird. I realized with fuel prices, I may as well buy a hunting license in case a second bird shows up. I needed shells! My friend bought some already. $11.00 each shell!!! $55 per box.
I pull out my shotgun and found these! Eureka! I’m good to go. Then I noted the price 4 years ago. Wooooowwww! That’s like 325% price hike. (Please don’t check my math) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1649354382.jpg |
$11 per SHELL?! You can buy a turkey for less

That’s like saying, “race car? You can ride the bus for a dollar” :)

It sounds like you'd be better off hunting with almost any other kind of gun. |
I'm not a hunter, but ya gotta use a shotgun here in NC... no rifles, etc.

Turkey season

Remmy 4x6 3" mags baby!! I have three boxes I bought probably 10 years ago. Run these suckers through an undertaker choke and it's game over for the turkey.

Had a black bear on the front porch this week. Guess hibernation is over. You need an axe or a baseball bat for a bear.

If I want a turkey, I could let the dog off the leash pretty much any morning and have one pretty quick.
