My grandfather's hat is freaking huge. I can wear a wool watch cap and it is still too big over that, and I wear a 7 1/2. A quarter fit through his wedding ring.

Baseball caps with adjustable straps in the back are pointless for me. Even when adjusted to the extreme, they don't fit. Luckily I found an online store (Lamood Big Hats) that sells fitted large hats.

My head may not be as big as yours, but I have the same issue with many/most ball caps. I've had hats that would only fit on the last notch, and then they look odd, because the top is still really too small. I've had a few that actually adjusted and fit OK, but they are rare.
