Name this car
Posted on a Facebook forum. I have no clue what it is. The hood resembles a 1990's firebird to me, Canopies resemble the Splittin image Hot Wheels. Canopies are blacked out so maybe just a display vehicle? As a whole it has a 1960-70's customization.

It would make a cool batmobile.
|
It looks like it may be built on a C3 Vette body?
Name this car? “Fugly” |
^^^
That was my first thought too. Looks like a Vette that has had some work done. |
|
George Barris?
|
Never be able to plate and drive it.
|
built on C-2
by Mark Hammil maybe? |
Ed Roth? Both he & Baris were into those plexiglass bubble tops...
|
I'm going to name it Garfield, but I think it could also be an Ira.

It seems I'm the only person who sees the beauty in it.
Umm, maybe that's not such a good thing LOL |

I think someone was inspired by this Darryl Starbird car.
If the car in the OP had shiny custom paint and a proper set of wheels and tires and the correct rake, it would probably look pretty damn good. Nothing really wrong with the proportions, and the lines I see look good to me. I'm with Bill D. on this one. Haters gotta hate? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1650481850.jpg |
^^^Is that the "moonbird" as mentioned by Toad in American Graffiti?

I'll bet that's darn hot in the sun! |
Not the Moonbird, this one is called "The Alchetron"
I think Ed Roth and Darryl Starbird probably smoked pot while they were coming up with names for their creations! |
