Good God, I knew this dude was messed up, but man this one goes in to a lot of detail. Not just on the murders but the investigation too.
Maybe this one hits closer to home for me. In a straight line according to Google maps I grew up 2.3 miles from his house. And I've now lived in Des Plaines for 25 years of my life. It was the D.P. PD that cracked the case. It was those guys that dug the bodies up from his crawl space, with no PPE mind you. I knew kids in High School that lived on his block. One of them is in the second episode.

There is a house there, not his house though. The lot sat vacant until the late 80's. A house was built there and the same people have lived there since. That house came up for sale a couple years back and it started a news schitt show. I don't think they were able to sell it, no surprise.

The house is long gone-- My brother knew several of his victims. My family was also only about 2 miles from his house.

I grewup mostly on the northwest side of Chicago.
