“The Chosen” mini-series

https://watch.angelstudios.com/thechosen

A friend recommended we try watching this series about Jesus and we are enjoying it. For the Christians out there, I recommend you give it a try. It’s not some hokey ministry on a religious TV station sort of thing, but rather a well done (and different) format angle that is as much about the life and times of the people around Jesus as it is about him. Of course he is a central figure, and it follows the New Testament as most episodes feature a miracle or exchange that every Christian will recognize from the Gospels, but it does a nice job of adding a more human dimension to the events and wonder of some of the participants in those events. We’ve watched a 45-minute episode for each of the last few nights, and we’ll be sorry when we catch up to the end of season 2. (Season 3 is filming now).

From Wikipedia: “The Chosen is a television drama based on the life of Jesus of Nazareth, created, directed and co-written by American filmmaker Dallas Jenkins. It is the first multi-season series about the life of Jesus, and season one was the top crowd-funded TV series or film project of all time. The series' creators stated that they had hoped to distinguish the new series from previous portrayals of Jesus by crafting a multi-season, episode-based story. The series portrays Jesus "through the eyes of those who met him".

You can watch it for free on several platforms.
