California's holding our checks until closer to the November mid-terms.

When the over $20 billion dollar fund in MI was audited in 2019, the word was that every insured car would be refunded $1400.

Somehow, that $1400 was lowered to $400 between then and now.

You know that isn’t really Jake right? The real Jake from State Farm was apparently abducted.

Lawyers gotta get their cut ....

We received our check about two weeks ago ($1,200 for our three vehicles). This was nice given that we have only been residents of Michigan since September 2020. Now, if they would do likewise for these crazy property taxes!!! We paid $300 annually in Alabama for our home and 36 acres - in Michigan we pay $6,000 for our home and 20 acres. I realize that in many other places in the country it is worse than this.

^^^
I think you just made the deadline for your cars.(or close to it)
Two of mine have 'Historical' plates...that's the reason for the two $80 checks.

My prop. tax is approx $1200/year for 1.25 acres and home. I'm happy with it...they haven't re-evaluated in my township in the last 8 years. When they do...the tax will jump. :)

Looks like I'll be heading North!!

The Backwoods Bastard is one of my absolute favorites. It's just a great beer. I don't know if I told you this or not but when we were up in Manistee in early March, we went to a grocery store. They had Founders Dirty Bastard for $9.99 per 6pk. My brother and I bought every one they had on the shelf!

stevej37 05-04-2022 05:44 PM

I like the packaging..along with the taste. The guy looks like my uncle Fred.:)
I'll have a couple for you.

Dirty Bastard is great also.
