Hello there. If you mean SF Bay Area I can provide some suggestions. please feel free to send me a PM.
I have lived in the area for 25+ years and have been a PCA member for 30+ years. One event to consider is the PCA Zone 7 concours event held in conjunction with the PCA Golden Gate Region Sunday August 7. It will take place at Porsche Redwood City. I was a VP in a startup right down the street from there, and have stacks of parts receipts from Porsche RWC. Porsche RWC used to be called Carlsen Porsche and they are huge supporters of PCA. And they have sponsored pro racing teams, and even a few amateur efforts, like one that won the NASA 25 hour event about 15 years ago. Back in 2019, they provided pace cars for a PCA GGR Club Race at Laguna. I volunteered to drive one down to Laguna Seca-- a Cayman. My first time driving a Cayman. It was fun, and while at Laguna Seca one of my newer friends and his wife got "inspired" and she decided to buy a Cayman. The husband just bought another Porsche-- a 996. I hope to attend Sunday. And I hope some of my old car friends will attend, and some of my newer car friends will attend. I met two of my newer Porsche/car friends via these forums in just the last year or so. Two other newer pcar friends work 5 minutes from there-- Facebook. Both have Caymans. One I met when we both got hit by the same car right in front of Facebook back in March. He was in his Cayman and I was in my BMW. The other I met via RL when he and his wife relocated here from the East coast-- turned out we had a lot in common including breaking the clay pipe at college graduation, and even some engineering classes (20+ years apart). Should be a good event. So feel free to send me a PM.

If you go up the PCH, check out the Hearst Castle if you have the time. Later on, hit Nepenthe in Big Sur for lunch or dinner. The view is fantastic!

A little South of the SF Bay Area proper, but well worth a visit.

How much time are you taking?
Driving down the coast is pretty, but time consuming. There is an awful lot of Hiway 395 that is pretty great, I guess one route down and another going back is the way to go. |

"The EASY gathering happens the first Saturday of the month."
Good to know. By the way I am pretty sure they are quite busy at Canepa getting ready for Werks Reunion and Car week. In general the shop floor is not accessible to public-- just the showroom and the museum. I suspect that they may have "open house" events around the time of car week. I have a contact there and I will check with him. He works on cars like 917s.
