In the early 80' a fast food Mid Eastern rest opened up on Alosta in Glendora..Two young guys wearing suit and ties were running the place..no customers..Second time in there was an older guy in suit talking to them..

Got to talking to one of the young guys they had come to the USA via Sweden...where they liked Volvos..they were driving MB's..

Place didn't last long. next rest in there was a Mex place that was a fkin hit...a money making machine..

So, what is this place? I will be down in Cave Creek later as I have friends with a second home there, would love to check it out.....

Again, AZ Kabob at Scottsdale and Mayo, next to the Harkins cinema. Get there by 7pm at the latest. Their gyro platter is as good as any in Germany.

Do any of these restaurants ever have mysterious fires? We've had a few around here. The first one I can remember was downtown La Crosse, one of my friend's father owned a business in a old building, and there was a Greek restaurant in another part of the building. The building was a total loss. The fire inspector found a wrench next to the main gas line, and eventually a employee confessed the owner of the place paid him to start the fire. Same thing a few years later with a Italian restaurant in Onalaska, which is the city just north of La Crosse. Then a bar burned outside La Crosse. It was ruled faulty wiring in a cooler, but the owner couldn't keep his mouth shut and blabbed about it to someone who reported him. Then the Mexican restaurant in downtown that had a fire, and the insurance allowed the owner to build a big new place in a more popular area. There's been a couple others, but just recently another restaurant burned down a couple old buildings in downtown La Crosse. The initial thought was that the fire started in the kitchen, but now the inspector says that wasn't the case, and the final report will be a few weeks. It just seems to happen a lot here.
