to left foot brake. She's hesitant but her CaymanS is PDK so why not have little fun with it. Her father (Pontiac Station wagon) taught how to drive and she's sticking with that.

She might come around.

But that makes the left side foot rest useless.
She may know what's best. :D

Been left footin' it since forever. Gotta do something with it when you drive automatic or you keep stomping on the floor for nothing.

It is how I got my fastest times with the 951 at autocross events . I could keep it under boost, and it would just launch out of some turns .

I like to left foot brake.

Was learning to LFB at the track and came on to the straight for an upshift and forgot to move the left foot off the brake and back over the clutch.
Wicked brake check on the poor guy behind me.
Only did that once.

Also tricky when LFB and then have to heal toe downshift and then back to LFB before turn in.

Added a brake light next to my shift light just to remind me not to drag my left foot on the brake pedal.
LFB looks bad with brake lights on while accelerating down a straight.

Was LFB at the track all day and on the way home caught myself in the truck and trailer left foot braking.

It took a while, but I got used to left foot braking in the 930 at the track. To keep the memory, I left foot braked my trucks for ages since the 930.

With only a few track days in my E46 330, I have not gotten to where I can left foot brake.

I left foot brake all the time, street and racing.

Although in endurance racing they say left foot brakers use more fuel and have to pit more. I guess that means they are faster LOL.

No way am I going to tell my wife any of the Pelicans left foot brake! That will justify her practice of the same - which drives me crazy.

I had a student, at VIR, driving a BMW Mini Cooper Clubman, with mods. He had left foot down, and was not only fast, but smooth. I explained to him that some DE groups don't allow Left Foot Braking, and that some instructors might give him a hard time (and it was one of those groups) but, because he showed me how confident he was, and he was, to go with what works for him. He was one of the best students I have had.

I don't like LFB but the way to really learn is in a go cart. So much fun!

I've almost always driven a stick. My left foot always has one and only one job. I've read about LFB, but never tried it (seems like the kind of thing that you'd only need to do on a track.

Most of the time when I see LFB folks, they are rolling at 65 or 80 on the highway with the brake light on or flickering. I suspect they go through pads like nobody's business.
