Triathlon Season begins in 72 hours
Last year it was moved to August due to Covid. I am pretty sure I had covid while I raced. I had a tough time in the water and on the run. I did well on the bike and finifhed about three minutes out of a podium spot. The following day I was sore and had a headache. The next day I tested positive. I was down for about a week. In that time the race sold out and missed signing up for this year's race. About five weeks ago I got an email that limited spots were open. I was lucky and got a spot. So, I crammed Five months of training into a little over a month. Sunday Morning at 8:30AM I jump. |

Three minutes from standing on the podium tells me you don't just stroll along and take it easy.
Good for you. It is not easy training. If you have a 40 hour work week, it's tough. Preparation brings success. Good luck with only a few weeks of training. BTW... back in the eighties was the triathlon days for me. Among many, the toughest one was the 1983 Sierra Nevada for me. Scott Melina, the Terminator won it.

Thanks, and just to clarify a podium in my age group 55-60 not a podium overall. Typically, I finish overall (all ages) between 40 and 45% percentile.
