So many weird things about that story.
Who carries $5 million of auto liability coverage?? Because it seems any award against the insurance company would be capped at the policy limit.
Also, it seems like it’s the result of a rogue arbitrator in a binding arbitration.

Yes but you have to get it in your teens / early adulthood. Both men and women can get the vaccine. Guys can get throat cancer from it. :(

The 5.2 million judgement is not against GEICO. Its against Geico's insured, who agreed to arbitrate the woman's claims. Geico intervened (McLovin knows what that is, for the rest, its a legal process where someone who has an interest in a case is allowed to participate even where not initially named a party). Geico's insured lost. Geico appealed. Appeals court tossed. But the judgement is only against the insured, not Geico.
Geico has a related federal declaratory judgement case seeking to determine that it doesn't cover sex acts in its insured vehicle. In any event, it can't be on the hook for more than its policy limits...

I have no love for insurance companies, especially Geico and others who deny claims to put into their ad budget, but legal decisions like these are what ruins business and makes all insurance more expensive.
