Yep, that's precisely why I stated that "of course as I traveled down the road home the temps came down a bit..."
I used to really enjoy spring and summer, but I prefer fall and cooler temperatures now, I guess it's an old man type of thing. Lol.
Summer sunset sails are still okay though. [emoji846]

Hail is pretty rare here... just had a storm pass over with it.... lowering the misery index a bit.

Little bitty hail .... not Texas golf ball size hell ;)

Today was just a beautiful day here. Sunny all day, 77 degrees and 42% humidity.
A nice change from yesterday.

Damn near perfect here too! I was at my hunting property taking care of game cameras and checking on damage to trees and trails today. I commented to my friend about how nice it was out today. I must have walked 3 miles without breaking a sweat where the last few days I couldn't walk from my house to my shop (less than 200 feet) without breaking a sweat.

^^^ plus...there was enough wind to keep the bugs and skeeters at bay. :)

I noticed that too. Spent the better part of the afternoon walking around in the woods assessing damage from the last storm and not one skeeter bite.

Thank you guys for sending the hail storm south... gonna be nice here too for a short spell.

Those 100+ (heat index) daze get the weekend off.... yippie :)

I've found ours to be pretty accurate. 10 miles down the road on I-10 going up White Water grade it read 109* at 74 mph.
Reminded me of the time I brought my Alfa home. 114*, car was puking coolant out the overflow tank, had to stop at every exit that had water available until we hit the far side of Riverside. Pissed my wife off no end having to follow us, but we made it without blowing up the engine. Later found out the car had a condenser left in it in front of the radiator as well as a key piece of the cooling system was missing. The little bypass valve was gone from the hose it was supposed to reside in which meant no water was going to the radiator for the most part.
