Porsche's new LMDh 963 is gorgeous.

They are pushing to race it this year to help shake down for next year's debut season. Looks good now she has to race good 😋

Penske will ensure it does.

HOLY COW - what a beautiful machine!

Those front fender cutouts and the rear spoiler especially are fantastic!

Next year is going to be a LOT of fun!!!

Thanks, Herr Oberst!

Porsche announced it's first customer team in IMSA . JDC Miller will run one 963 next year . A solid team that previously ran a Cadillac DPI . Next year shaping up to be fun to watch both IMSA and WEC.

Agreed. I was wondering why we didn’t hear any revs during warm-up, then realized it was electric.

Sounds like a Prius! 😂

It's a hybrid.

"The hypercar is built to LMDh specifications, with a LMP2-category chassis supplied by Canada-based Multimatic and spec hybrid components from Bosch, Williams Advanced Engineering, and Xtrac. However, the star of the show is the 963’s 4.6-liter twin-turbo V-8, which is based on the hybrid 918 Spyder’s engine. The powertrain will deliver 680 horsepower to the rear wheels in an effort to snag overall victories in races like the Le Mans 24 Hours and the 12 Hours of Sebring."

Yes. That is the scheduled competition debut.

I’m starting to think about attendance plans for the Roar and the Rolex.

Baz yes it will run Rolex/Sebring and the full IMSA schedule in North America . Two factory cars here and two in the WEC . Plus a few " customer " cars .

When I was in Stuttgart during the last 919 LM 24
I asked em
Why do you even have a starter on that car.
it can run on electric motors and bump start the engine that way.
save at least 5kg of weight

I'de like to think they took it on board :P

It's prettier than the 919 - but I think they could have done more with it - these rules allow a passing resemblance to the cars they are derived from, so maybe more 911-like head and tail lights ??

What a race next year...(them, BMW, ferrari, cadillac, toyota, the gorgeous Peugeot, etc..) Wife booked a place at Le Mans already... I go see the cars, she goes touristing...
Can anyone that already went ot the 24h confirm if we got re-entry rights ?1 (if I wanna sleep at the rental instead)
