Do you use Kaspersky products?
Back when Russia attacked Ukraine and countries started to condemn Russia, there were worries about cyber-attack to infrastructure or citizens. Some in the tech area decided to not use Kaspersky anti-virus software due to the possibility of Russia using it to spread a trojan virus.
What do you think? |
Not at work and that is the only place I use non-Free software.
Come to think of it, just about everything I use at work is either a MS product, SaaS based on Free software, or Free software .... |
They used to be considered some of the best for security.
They had (have?) a great free product called TDSSKILLER which detects and removes rootkits. I've used it for years to check my system but since it was a free download I stopped since I thought it would be a easy vehicle for an attack. |
Yea, sure, and I use the Chinese WI-FI equipment as my router, modem, and switch.
(No green text on my phone) |
I haven't used any anti-virus or malware software (other than the free Microsoft Defender or whatever it's called these days) on my PCs in about 20 years. And that was running mostly Windows Vista and Windows 7. I've had my Mac now for almost 2 years.
I think this link will work https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=9905 Quote:
