Robbing Cindy's kitchen gear

Not really...but I have bought measuring spoons and pyrex measuring cups & pitchers for stuff I do in the garage. Both automotive and yard work. A bent spoon in the rollaway for digging out the gate opening hole of the hurricane fence...stuff like that.

But hey, it goes both ways...Cindy uses a rubber mallet for meat tenderizing, claiming she likes it over the kitchen mallet she used to use. She's using it now, which prompted this thread. Once in a while, she'll grab one of my oil filter removal tools to open a stubborn jar.

So, anybody else using "cross purpose" kitchen/shop items?

I can't remember ever using a rubber mallet in the garage.
What is it used for? Adjusting body panels?

A turkey baster works great for topping up car batteries.

Serrated bread knives are useful for cutting upholstery foam.

And dishwashers will do a good job of cleaning dirty parts. Just wait 'till your wife's gone out for a while before using it for that...

I also once "baked" a Bluetooth circuit board on low heat in the oven to reflow the solder. Fixed the problem without having to spring for a $900 replacement part in my Acura.

Wife had a skimmer/stirrer that I stole to scoop cases out of the walnut media I use in my tumbler for reloading.

I use one of those kids medicine dispensers, (looks like a syringe without the needle), for removing a little brake fluid from the reservoir before pushing the caliper piston back into the bors when changing brake pads.

Tools that work..

You have to wonder why they aren't labeled and sold together in the auto stores.
