Outboard motor help?
With all the knowledge this forum has I'm hoping someone can help me out. I have a 2008 Mercury outboard 150 two stroke fuel injected and I was doing maintenance on it and found a sensor that the tube is not attached to anything. I have added some photos along with a diagram and I have a manual for the motor but it does not show where the tube goes.
Any help would be very much appreciated, Dave |

Here is the end of the tubing. |
Hopefully someone can help you here.
But also wanted to suggest you consider asking/joining a Facebook group for whatever kind of boat you have - or maybe another one that deals with outboards. I joined the Mako group and it's very helpful and I get lots of information from it. Good luck, regardless....nice clean looking motor. I could use that to replace my tired '89 Evinrude 150! ;) |
Good Idea Baz. I'll try that avenue as well. I figured that this place has a wealth of knowledge. I joined the hull truth but as a new member I can't post photos

Since it's fuel injection, it would need a barometric sensor. Thar appears to be it?

The parts manual shows it as a 0-100 PSI sensor. I'm going to finish the PM on it tomorrow and after I replace the water pump impeller I'll start it up and look for leaks. LOL
