How did I ever live my life without having gone to Disneyland? LOL! Reminds me of a depressed sounding call from Evren, he & Ruki having taken the kids to Florida's Disneyland version.

Evren: "Screaming kids everywhere..."
Me: "No escape place for adults?"
Evren: (Depressed tone) "Nowhere..."

My daughter and her friend are there today. $450 for just the tix alone. That's her birthday present/party this year.

At least the food is good, and the restrooms reasonably clean. More that can be said for the county 30 to 40 minutes North of there.

Little Rocket and his girlfriend went to Disneyland last weekend. He was amazed how crowded it was and questioned how we could take him and his sister to Disneyworld and kept track of them. It was bedlam he said.

Man, more old dudes complaining again? No, not you Cantdrive.

Sure, it isn't cheap but if you compare Disney to other parks, you see a huge difference on the way the park is maintain. Someone has to pay for that. Handrails are always nicely painted, no rust, no trash and that includes the rides. No gum on the floor or the hand rails. Plants and grass are cut and trimmed to perfection. Can't say that for 6 flags, or other parks. My kids are high school now, they went only once when they were little and we are 35-40 min away. I only go when we have visitors from out of town with small kids. No, not cheap but the restaurants in Downtown Disney is pretty dang good. We use to drive out just to have kids run around and eat at some of the restaurants when they were small. Hotel are booked solid and that place isn't exactly cheap. Park is blown up with thousands of people and the lines are long full of visitors. Yet, people are still going there.

I will take two, one for each ear due to my large tear ducts during offensive moments.

Nah, It was 82 today with a bit of light breeze. Plenty of clean places to sit at the park.

Let me know next time! You should have called me! Like a few years ago!

Yeah stupid expensive I’m giving two passes to my sister for both parks. I have a retiree lifetime pass for four and I don’t go, maybe Disneyworld when I move to St. Augustine six months of the year.

Supply and demand... plus cost of labor going up... and some people are still willing to pay. Revenge spending/revenge vacation is what they are calling it.

But my Disney shares are still down.

My family went the year it opened or the year after. There was a ticket booth at the gate. I don't remember the admission price, but the rides (which you bought tickets for) ranged from 35 cents to 50 cents, which I thought was a lot. From the parking lot, you could look out over citrus orchards. I went again during the late seventies. I wouldn't go now days, and that goes for lots of high priced attractions.
