Haha, the fish have learnt not to be in front of the diving board.

The turtles try to pack as much food in as they can before hitting the water.
In the water, they lose a lot of it and the fish clean it up.

I never have to feed the fish...they eat well following the turtles.:)

The water is perfect for diving now....warm and clear.

They've eaten so much that they can't climb the ramp to the food.

Basic open water thru intro to Cave with Lloyd Bailey. Got to do a lot of cavern diving with Wes Skiles when he was still alive...

I'm a great swimmer...but diving is something I have never done.

I swam a mile for boy scouts...easy.

1980 Oahu Hawaii. Some guy named Dave Scott taught me how to scuba dive to cert. He went on to win six Ironmans. Coolest guy you would ever meet.

1979, Barberton, Ohio. On impulse. Maybe a YMCA Several weeks of training. Over to Toledo for the final test in a big rock quarry.

Open water certification.

Never dove again.

When I was a young kid (pre-teen), my parents gave me the best Christmas gift ever.....a snorkel, fins, and a mask.
I outgrew the fins in a year...couldn't find the shoe type and had to buy the adjustable size ones instead....never worked as good.

That made me as comfortable under water as on land.
